The Bolnore Village Community Partnership (BVCP) was formed in 2013 as a charitable incorporated organisation. We have a hard working band of Trustees, who spend time working with Michael Bramble (Centre Manager) and David Randall (Deputy Manager) to run the Woodside as a place the whole community can be proud of.

  • Michael Bramble
    Michael Bramble
    Centre Manager
Michael has been a Bolnore resident for seven years and is married with two young children. He has a background in administration and customer service which serve him particularly well in his current role and a degree in Classics which doesn't. A keen sportsman, Michael was the first captain of Bolnore's fledgling football team, but these days settles for bumbling about with the Vets on a Thursday night and imparting his 'wisdom' from the sidelines on a Saturday afternoon (where his Woodside duties allow!).
  • >Carlos Leon
    Carlos Leon
    Trustee & Treasurer
Carlos has lived in Bolnore since 2002 with his wife and three sons. Carlos is a financial analyst who has been actively involved in fund raising for the Woodside, running the Bolnore Lotto, applying for grants and saving or raising money wherever possible. He was also responsible for setting up the Bolnore Village Community Interest Company, which took on management of the estate and volunteers with the Bolnore Scout Group in which all of his children have been actively involved.
  • Alastair McPherson
    Alastair McPherson
    Trustee & Chair
Alastair has lived in Bolnore for 9 years with his wife and two daughters. He was involved in 2006 with the initial stages of the Bolnore Village Primary School working as a member of the Bolnore School Group, and subsequently as an associate governor and an active member of the BVRA. In 2010, he left the School Group and started to work with the Council and Resident’s Association on the Bolnore Community Centre. He set up the Bolnore Village Community Partnership (BVCP) charity in 2013, the group that now runs the Woodside. Alastair was voted in as Councillor in 2015 and is currently working hard representing Bolnore Village within the Town Council as Deputy Mayor of Haywards Heath. Aside to this, Alastair works in the Pharmaceutical Industry and enjoys family time, playing and writing music and helping make Bolnore a great place for everyone to live!
  • Anne Boutrup
    Anne Boutrup
    Trustee & MSDC Liaison
Anne lives in Ashenground, is a Town and District Councillor for that ward and is currently chairman of both the MSDC Scrutiny Committee for Customer Service & Service Delivery and the Ashenground & Heath Neighbourhood Policing Panel. Aside from her community work, Anne is also Director of Finance & Administration for a local IT company and advises on the upcoming General Data Protection Regulations. Anne brings experience volunteering for a number of small and large charities where she undertook roles including applying for grants, business case preparation & presentation, safeguarding & treasury.
  • >Gemma Coombes
    Gemma Coombes
    Trustee & Secretary
Gemma moved to Bolnore in 2005 and lives with her husband and two sons who attend the primary school. With a degree in English Literature, Gemma enjoyed a career in Advertising, before recently launching The Hub Kids Club which is based at the Woodside and provides before & after school child care in Bolnore. Part of the events team, Gemma has been involved in putting on many community events at the Woodside, such as the summer fete and family discos.

Others BVCP members include Matt Jeffers (Trustee & Town Council Liaison), Bob Bannister (Trustee) and Charlie Smith (Trustee).

As a charity board, we meet six times per year and oversee the management of the building. Our AGM is in October every year and is open to the general public.

We also have a team of volunteers who help run events at the Woodside such as the Summer Fete every July, Halloween Family Disco and Christmas Carols. If you would like to become a volunteer, please contact Michael Bramble, Centre Manger for more details.
