Who Are We?
The Woodside is our new community building complete with leisure facilities that has now been formally transferred to the Bolnore Village Community Partnership (BVCP) from Mid Sussex District Council (MSDC).
The BVCP has a board of trustees and local volunteers with a wide range of expertise and experience. All of the BVCP trustees and volunteers are unpaid.
Alastair McPherson BVCP Chair
Alastair has lived in Bolnore for 9 years with his wife and two young children. He was involved in the initial stages of the school formation being a member of the Bolnore School Group, and subsequently an associate governor. He has been involved with the Bolnore Village Residents Association (BVRA). Alastair work stems from his degree in Applied Biology, he works in the pharmaceutical industry in sales and marketing.
Carlos Leon BVCP Treasurer
Carlos has lived in Bolnore Village for over ten years with his wife and three children and has been involved with the BVRA for many years, most recently as its chair, and is also an assistant leader with the Bolnore Cub pack. Carlos works as a financial editor/analyst specialising in regulatory compliance. Prior to being a financial editor, Carlos worked as a translator (in Spanish and Portuguese) both for the Financial Times and freelance. Carlos also enjoys writing and editing and is responsible for compiling the BVRA's newsletter and website content. He also set up and coordinates the Bolnore Lotto. He has written for various publications and in 2004 helped set up the highly acclaimed Viva Lewes listings magazine in his spare time.
Charlie Smith Trustee
Charlie has lived in Bolnore for nine years, with his wife and two children. He has history of working with children and the community. He has been involved in the Bolnore Cubs and Scouts since they began over three years ago, which is now operating from the Woodside. He is currently the Bolnore Village Scout Leader.
